An additional customs duty between zero and 50 percent will be applied to the import of textile, apparel, leather, footwear and similar products and some industrial products until September 30. The Presidential Decrees Additional to the Import Regime Decree were published in the Official Gazette and entered into force.

 

50% customs duty on shoes and textiles

The decrees determined the additional customs duty rates to be applied to the import of textile, apparel, leather, footwear and similar products and some industrial products.

 

Accordingly, an additional customs duty between zero and 50 percent will be applied to the import of the said goods until September 30, depending on the country group to which they are imported. The provisions of the decree will not be valid if the customs declaration regarding the import of the goods, for which a transport document was previously issued and loaded to be shipped to Turkey, is registered within 30 days.
